Dear State Employee: Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for the Public Health Reserve Corps (PHRC)! Your interest is greatly appreciated! The first step is to fill out all required fields in the application to begin the selection process. Selection is based on approval from your home department, classification, and availability to participate. Here is a link with FAQs about joining the PHRC for your information: (PHRC Flyer). Please keep in mind that deployment of the PHRC is based on the need from local health jurisdictions throughout the State of California. If you are selected for deployment, we will notify you at least 7 days prior to the start of your assignment.
